Pat Hart is referred to by many as "The Storyteller." Recognized for authentic and historical detail in her paintings, her true love is portraying people from all cultures and time periods.
Pat has been developing her God given talent since childhood, revealing the visions that flow through her heart and mind. She tells of legends and stories passed down through the ages, and portrays them vividly in her work. Her art is full of magic and wonder, and allows the viewer to experience a time and place so tangible that one can almost hear laughter, feel love, and smell fragrances. Extensive research on her part ensures authenticity in each painting.
In 1990, she was commissioned by the Texas Renaissance Festival to paint several of their official posters. These depict a magical 15th century England with knights, maidens, dragons, and unicorns. Her love of the ocean and its wonders led to a special series of mermaids, beautiful coral reefs, and colorful and exotic sea creatures. Pat's Cherokee ancestry has inspired her to create a series of paintings honoring Native Americans, and her love and concern for animals has inspired Pat to paint an endangered species series.
Pat operates her own art studio and has taught art privately for over 38 years. Her goal is to teach students to create something special that comes from within. Students that participate in local and national art shows typically walk away with Best of Show or 1st Place ribbons.
Pat lives in Santa Fe, Texas with husband Bubba. They have three children: Tanya, April, and Misty. Each of the children and grandchildren have been blessed with a creative imagination.
